Privacy policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
We collect as little as possible. No ads, no tracking cookies, no data sold, ever.
What we collect, and why
- When you buy: your email address, the amount, currency and Stripe payment reference. Used to deliver your download, answer support requests and keep accounting records.
- Download counter: how many times your download link was used, to prevent link sharing abuse.
- Server logs: IP address, browser and pages requested, kept for a short time for security and debugging.
- If you email us: your message and email address, to reply.
Card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and handled by Stripe only; we never see or store them.
Legal basis
Performing the sale you asked for (contract), our legal accounting obligations, and our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
Who processes data for us
- Stripe: payments (stripe.com/privacy).
- Hetzner Online: server hosting in the EU (Germany/Finland).
- Amazon Web Services (SES): sending the download email, once enabled.
- Cloudflare (R2): encrypted database backups, once enabled.
Some of these providers are based in the US and rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
The site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. A session cookie is only set if you sign in to an account.
How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept for 10 years, as required for accounting in France. Server logs are kept for a few weeks. Support emails are kept as long as needed to help you.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data (except what we must keep for accounting), or object to its use, by emailing amine@usagegate.io. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr) or your local data protection authority.
